I went to Columbia College in Chicago and got my BA in Film. Right out of college I got a full-time position at a high-end film and special FX house called The Filmworkers Club. I starting in the specialized area of film color correction, then became a commercial editor on Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere. During this time I also wrote/produced and directed several documentaries under my production company banner Backlight Productions. My documentary "Shattered Lives The Dean Olds Story" aired on The Sundance Channel.​

Ten years later I moved to Arizona and worked for Great Scott Productions, starting as full-time editor, but I quickly moved into the role of full-time copywriter/director. I wrote over 100 commercials and corporate videos in my 10 years there.
During this time I also wrote/directed 3 TV pilots, 3 feature films, 4 short films, a comic book and 7 episodes of a comedy web-series called "Redo". I have written scripts in several genres, but find comedy to be where I really shine. I am currently a full-time producer/copywriter at Isagenix International.
